In isolation it can be difficult to keep motivated. I’ve been busy writing a funding application form with my compadre Jessica Innes, only to find the deadline dates have been put back 2 months! It’s not a big deal by any means as it will just be delayed, not cancelled like a lot of things but there’s a certain anti-climax that can affect how you were going about things. Adjustments required and so it must be. Things could be A LOT worse so I’m not going to try and compare my inconvenience with others’ very bad shit going on. Anyway, I digress... I’m finally back on track and getting back to a wee isolation project I started before the distracting times of applications. I had brought home few materials from my workshop so I have been reduced to the challenge of using what I have around me in my flat. Namely cardboard and tape. I also have only a motley crew of colours of paints and block printing ink that form some sort of a decent palette. So here we have one of the first items of my big project. It stands about 3” tall. There are a couple of people to whom I’ve mentioned what I’m doing so don’t give it away! See if the rest of you can guess....I’ve got a long way to go so I won’t let the cat out the bag until it’s finished. Makes me do it too. More items of furniture to come. Jeez...so many chairs, who knew?! #isolationguessinggame #isolationproject #whatsitgoingtobe #armchair #making #miniatures #usingwhatyougot #cardboard #maskingtape #somanychairs via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/B_NnJpxFwgM/
