I made myself a pony! A stitching pony that is. Wanted to have a go at some leather work and saw all the You Tubers had stitching ponys…or is it ponies??…anyway, I thought I could make one of those and indeed I did, out of scrap wood and hardware I happened to have. Always love it when I can cobble something together out out of scraps. So now onto some sewing! My first attempt was quite messy but I’m liking it. Quite meditative.

Another GMB prop, though this one didn’t get its day in the sun. A quick sculpt, mould and resin cast for Paddington’s welly boots. Scroll to see the red and yellow versions. Everything needed to be made in 5s for the judges and an extra one for luck. This was for the pre-dessert lollipop that would have been popped into the, to be trimmed, straw sticking out the top. Abi’s dishes sounded delicious but sadly the props aren’t edible!

This one was a very quick but lovely wee job a few months ago from @farin.road for his stint on the BBC’s Great British Menu. Sadly Abi was knocked out the rounds but said he had a most marvellous time. First up is a Bananaman platter as a barbell weight that represents Bananaman’s strength. It got my wee laser engraver going full steam! I’ve got a couple more props I will post up in the coming days that didn’t make it onto the show. It was great working with Abi, he’s a fantastic creative.
