![]() First batch of paper is a bit lumpy. I was worried that I was going to burn out the motor of my blender as it wasn't blending the paper pulp very well. Then I realised the bits that hadn't pulped up were actually kind of plasticy. So note to self: make sure the paper from your shredder is all just copy paper. I'm assuming it was some heavily coated something I had put through. Anyway, after having go with what I got and trying to remove as much of the plasticy stuff I ended up with a rather lumpy mask that I tried on my face cast. I think more glue is required too. This evening I double sieved the remaining pulp in an attempt to get rid of the big plasticy bits: first through a colander then the strained liquid through muslin. It's still got some bits but definitely better. Will see how today's effort has dried tomorrow and then have another go with a few different recipes. #paperclay #papermache #making #masks #sculpture #sculpting #maskmaking #propmaking #jenkilgour #pigsticksproductions #pigsticksp via Instagram https://ift.tt/2ZRtSC1
