As I use countless different types of materials and techniques, it’s difficult to narrow down to one thing but for today, I’ve picked one brilliant way (out of many) of making patterns. A while ago I was trawling through the many amazing tutorials on YouTube and found @evilted_channel and his nifty technique for pattern making using tinfoil and gaffa tape. See the urls at the end of this post for his dome pattern making vid and more of my favourite folk. Don’t know if it’s his invention but it works incredibly well. There are so many awesome people who give their time and expertise to help folk learn the basics for cosplay, mask making, puppet making and prop making as well as carpentry, mould making, welding, sewing and...well, anything else you could possibly think of. A small portion of my other favourite go-tos are below. I hope it’s helpful to someone.... Evil Ted Smith: https://www.youtube.com/user/evilted40.
