Back in the workshop this week and have decided to do some major organisation sorting as I’ve not been utilising the space efficiently and can never find anything. Going to put more shelves up and have finally got round to re-doing the top of the bench I made for my wee table saw. All reclaimed wood from Freecycle and foraging so a little wonky but looks ok so far. More surface space and smoooove melamine salvaged from someone’s old kitchen cupboards. Mostly level!😂 Next step, creating a fence to gets them straight angles.🤪

It’s so lovely and reassuring to be appreciated. I’ve just finished a 3 week stint of art dept runner on a tv production. The team were so brilliant and I learned so much more about how all these things work. Mad and hectic but actually really enjoyed it. Great to be part of something. I must have done a good job as they gave me an absolutely delicious bottle of wine (cracked open already of course) and a wee box of fancy chocs. So lovely and unexpected. And even Stu in Standby props gave me a 10/10 - an accolade not given lightly apparently so I must have done all right! It makes such a difference when you work with good people, I know it’s not always the way but it’s good to cherish the times that it is. Here’s to good teams, good times and good wine!
