Awlrighty, more blink and you’ll miss it appearances of what I make. Here are my Airplane Food Trolleys (or is it trollies??) from Sky TV’s Lockerbie: A Search for Truth. These were 6 trolleys in all: 2 x strong hollow wooden structures with a Foamex cladding, 2 x poly core with cladding: so they could get flung about the place by the sfx guys and then 2 x squishy upholstery foam versions so a stunt man could get bashed with one. It was an epic job with lots of thinking and looooots of measuring involved.
The first image is the initial wooden and poly versions, with the real one in the middle. The other images are some of what went into the construction. And finally the rushed photos of the the upholstery versions.

If you have access to Sky, you’ve still got a chance to see the first episode, it’s available until midnight Saturday. Get the tissues out though, it’s an emotional rollercoaster! Ooft!
