Jennifer Kilgour is a painter, illustrator and occassional dabbler in animation, photography and woodwork.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, I studied at Edinburgh College of Art. Graduating with a BA (Hons) in Visual Communications, Animation in 1997. I then broadened my skills by undertaking an HND in Professional Photography at Glasgow College of Building & Printing, finishing in 2001. Following this, in 2006, I enrolled at Cyprus College of Art, Lempa, Cyprus for the year-long Postgraduate Diploma of Fine Art specialising in oil painting with a particular interest in the figure and portraiture.

Delving into the world of illustration, I created a brand of greetings cards, “Fintry Faeries”, named after the Stirlingshire village, where I spent much of my childhood. My illustration includes varied characters of people and places, faeries and animals as well as some others with a more surreallist bent. I am particularly fond of woodlad creatures that I see when when visiting the countryside of my youth. It is so full of stories. I have also writen and illustrated a children's picture book about two little pigs, brother and sister, named Poodles and Pigsticks who use their imagination and objects they find to fly to the moon. The full book can be viewed on my Flickr site.

The Red Bubble site has most of my illustrations that can be boutght online as greetings cards, prints and T-shirts. Currently the link is not quite in full working order but am planning serious reconstruction and it will hopefully be fully functional soon.

Now based in Glasgow, I am always looking for exhibition opportunities and welcome portrait and other commission requests. If you would like any further information please contact me through the Contact link above.
